Luka is also a producer and co-host of the North America Light Olefins Weekly Podcast. While currently based in London, U.K., Luka has lived in Bahrain, Australia and the UAE. Before joining the IHS Markit Base chemical business (now known as Chemical Market Analytics), Luka graduated from King’s College London with a BA (hons) in International Relations.

Mr. Calcaneo is based in Houston, Texas, where he currently serves as the Vice President for Energy and Feedstocks at Chemical Market Analytics (CMA). In this role, he leads the global development efforts for new NGL (Natural Gas Liquids) and Naphtha products, contributing to market deliverables and insights.

With over 20 years of experience, Mr. Calcaneo has worked in various international locations, including Mexico, the United States, the Netherlands, Spain, and the United Kingdom. His diverse background highlights his ability to navigate different business environments.

Before joining CMA, Mr. Calcaneo held the Latin America NGL Lead position at S&P Global Commodity Insights, where he oversaw NGL market research across 43 Latin America and the Caribbean countries. Prior to that, he worked as a Manager for Consulting Delivery at EAG Services, Inc., advising multinational energy companies. He also researched international trade, energy policy, and global economics at the Mosbacher Institute for Trade, Economics, and Public Policy.

Mr. Calcaneo has an academic background that includes a BA from Texas A&M University, a Certificate in Advanced International Affairs and a Master of Public Administration focusing on Energy Policy from the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University. Additionally, he holds a Graduate Certificate and a Master’s Degree in Data Science from Harvard University.
