Propane

Propane is a three carbon alkane and the most common component of liquified petroleum gas (LPG). Propane is a component in crude and natural gas thus represents a majority of the production. Propane is also produced as a byproduct of many crude refinery and chemical production processes. Propane is used for fuel in cooking and heating, and is also a major chemical feedstock for producing ethylene and propylene.
