Container glass refers to glass used to make a wide array of bottles, jars, and other items, ranging from beer containers to small vials and ampoules for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry. Glass composition is characterized by its various oxide components. Container glass is typically 72.5% silicon dioxide (SiO2), 14.5% soda (Na2O), and 1.5% aluminum oxide (Al2O3).
