Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA)

Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) is a three carbon alcohol and the simplest secondary alcohol. Uses include as a solvent, for disinfecting (rubbing alcohol, hand sanitizer), detergents, semiconductor production, fuel additives, and in producing other chemicals. IPA is mostly produced from propylene, but technology exists to also produce it from acetone.
