Hydrochloric Acid (HCl)

Hydrochloric acid (HCl) is an aqueous solution of hydrogen chloride. HCl is produced from chlorine and often production is integrated with a chlor-alkali production. HCl is also generated as a byproduct in the production of multiple chemicals that utilize chlorine as a raw material. Examples are in the prodution of MDI, TDI, Titanium dioxide, VCM, and refrigerants. HCl uses include pickling steel, pH control, oil production, food processing, production of inorganic compounds, and many other applications.
