Cyclohexanol/ Cyclohexanone

A mixture of cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone is known as KA oil (ketone-alcohol oil) and is derived by either the oxidation of cyclohexane, the hydrogenation of phenol, or the hydration of its less stable counterpart, cyclohexene. KA oil is mainly used in the production of precursors adipic acid and caprolactam for Nylon 6,6 and Nylon 6 production.
