Ethanolamines are a family of chemically related ethylene oxide (EO) derivatives that have a wide variety of uses. There are three congeners produced through the reaction of purified ethylene oxide and ammonia: monoethanolamine (MEA), diethanolamine (DEA), and triethanolamine (TEA).
