Robert Ferris, Ph.d Global Operations Leader Mckinsey & Partners

Robert Ferris, Ph.D. is a global operations leader at McKinsey & Company where he supports clients on emerging AI-enabled tools, innovation, and supply chain capabilities. His client work includes a range of industrial markets, across; chemicals, semiconductors, renewable energy generation, energy storage, automotive, and aerospace. He is also a global thought leader in the field of advanced materials innovation, specifically nano-materials innovation. Prior to joining McKinsey, he has served as COO, CEO, and strategy leader across fortune 500 and start-ups. He holds a Ph.D. in materials engineering, an MBA focused on innovation management and a MEng/BS in chemical engineering from Cornell University. He has a master black belt in lean six sigma, certification in human-centered design and is an experienced product manager.

Jennifer (Jen) Jewson Chief Procurement Officer LyondellBasell

Jen is the Chief Procurement Officer for Lyondellbasell and is based at the US headquarters office in Houston, Texas.  She is responsible for the procurement of Lyondellbasell's requirements which includes but is not limited to Technical Materials and Services, Raw Materials, Corporate and IT Services and Industrial Gases. She is responsible for setting the contracting strategy for materials acquisition, leading the Sustainable Procurement initiative for Scope 3 emissions and developing a global operating model for best cost country procurement. Her scope also utilizes digital and IT tools for greater purchasing visibility and predictability. Jen is also the current President for Together for Sustainability, an organization of over 50 petrochemical companies that working together to create more sustainable supply chains for a greener planet. Jen started out as a Chemist within R&D working on both catalyst design and product development. She was awarded 9 patents within her R&D tenure. She moved to Houston in 2003 where she has held various roles within the company within Business, Sales, Feedstocks and Mergers & Acquisitions. In 2015 she moved to Rotterdam to complete an expat assignment where she worked to globalize the Lead to Cash team within Supply Chain. She holds a B.S. and Ph.D. in Chemistry and an MBA in Finance.

Dewey Johnson is Senior Vice President & Global Lead of Chemical Market Analytics by OPIS, a Dow Jones Company (“Chemical Market Analytics”). IHS Markit Global LLC (“IHS Markit”) was acquired by S&P Global in February 2022. As part of the merger, IHS Markit Base Chemicals was spun off and separately acquired by Dow Jones and renamed “Chemical Market Analytics” in June 2022. Dewey is responsible for the global business, including insight and research covering the major chemical value chains, including Aromatics and Fibers, Olefins and Derivatives, Inorganics (chlor-alkali, vinyls, and soda ash), Plastics and Polymers, and Syngas Chemicals (methanol, acetyls, and ammonia). Dewey is based in Houston. Prior to Chemical Market Analytics, Dewey joined IHS Markit (through legacy CMAI) in 2009. His experience in the petrochemical industry covers all aspects of the business- financial, commercial, operations, research, strategy design and business planning, business development, and consultancy. Before IHS Markit, he was with Eastman Chemical Company, where he spent more than 25 years in strategic and commercial roles with various business groups and corporate functions. Dewey held management positions in commercial development, global sourcing, P&L for key businesses, market development, and market & strategic analysis of chemical markets and businesses. Dewey has led multiple complex engagements in strategy development and execution, global sourcing of Aromatics & olefins derivatives and industrial gases, business simulation & game theory and dynamic modeling, sales/ marketing, and business development. Dewey received BS and MS engineering degrees from Tennessee Technological University and Virginia Polytechnic Institute. He also earned an MBA in General Management. Dewey has been a frequent guest lecturer at MIT Sloan School of Management, UVA Darden School of Management, and SUNY at Albany School of Public Policy.
